Frozen Yoga Adventure with Karma Kids
Thursday, April 28th at 3:30-4:30p
$40 per child, 2-6y

Do you want to build a snowman? Join Ana, Elsa, Olaf and your favorite Frozen friends on a magical yoga adventure to Arendale! We'll meet all kinds of animals as we journey in search of Elsa's magical castle, where we'll have a sing-along dance party to your favorite Frozen songs! Costumes are highly encouraged!

Wooden Doll Painting by Goose Grease
Saturday, May 7th, $25 per child including supplies
Doll Painting by Goose Grease is an engaging and creative class that teaches children the age-old art of painting wooden dolls which make for perfect Valentine's Day gifts. Students will be taught to create miniature wooden portraits of their favorite characters, including Mommy, Daddy and friends! Doll painting enhances hand-eye coordination and motor skills, freeing the imagination to create little people a child can play with at home. Goose Grease peg dolls are brought from Bogot√°, Colombia via a fair trade agreement with a small carpentry shop.

Mini-Montessorians: Explore & Play presented by Curated Care
Trial class: Monday, May 16th, 10:00a-10:45a
$20 per child, Ages 18m-3y, with caregiver, Pre-registration Required

Little ones enjoy peer socialization while exploring beautiful and simplistic materials (colorful scarves, wooden blocks, board books and more) in the gentle, free-form approach of Montessori. Enjoy a calm and playful atmosphere for you and your baby while broaching first milestones like sharing, socializing and environmental exploration.

Botanical Printing - Silk Scarves
Saturday, May 21st, $30 per child including supplies

10:30-11:30a, 1-4y (with caregiver assistance) In this class, children will get to soak, pound, wrap, squish and tie dried flowers, onion skins, dried avocado skins and frozen berries into long silk scarves. The scarves will be tied into bundles then dropped into jars to simmer while we sing songs, color and read books about flowers and plants. This class will also exercise patience, as kids must wait one week, then unwrap your silk bundle at home. The result will be a harmony of greens and reds that resemble a watercolor. $30 per child, ages 1-4y, 10:30-11:30a

Creating Pattern on T-shirts
Saturday, May 21st, $30 per child including supplies

11:45a-12:45p, 4.5-9y Learn to make pattern and implied texture on t-shirts! Kids will learn about the various ways in which pattern is achieved in textile design as we explore some classic methods that designers employ. We will cover terminology and look at samples of different outcomes before kids pick a template to follow for their own t-shirt. One-of-a-kind patterns will be achieved as each child will have the opportunity to create a custom textured relief using metal and magnets which will be placed under the t-shirt and template for textile pigment to be rolled on top of for a 'rubbing' effect (think pencil rubbings of coins). Jazz Picnic with Live Band
Sunday, May 22nd, $25 per child in advance ($30 day of show)

4:00-4:45p, 2-6y Let’s go on a Jazz Picnic! This action packed, fun filled class will take your child on an adventure into the realms of jazz and improvised music. With stories, singing and dancing, this experience will unravel the excitement of the Saxophone, Double Bass and Drums and their ability to work together to create exciting music. Recycled Art presented by Curated Care
Trial class: Tuesday, May 24th, 10:30a-11:15a
$20 per child, Ages 2-5y, with caregiver, Pre-registration Required

One child's trash is another child's art project! Artist and Kid Expert Gabrielle will help little ones get creative with recycled materials. Using repurposed supplies, children will create works of art that excite and inspire creativity and conservation. Explore collage, paint, gluing, clay play, and more!


Superhero Stories with Bitty City Players
Trial Class: Tuesday, May 24th, 3:30p
$20 per child, Ages 3-5y, Pre-registration Required

Who doesn't want to be a superhero? This is the perfect class for your child to live out their dream. Our Bitty City Players teaching artist will develop an adventure story as a setting to allow kids to develop their superhero character(s). Each story features a problem that can be solved through creativity and cooperation. Children will play improv drama games that focus on character development and encourage experimentation and fearlessness.

SunPrint Summer Saturdays

Staying in the city over summer? Join us the first Saturday each month at City Treehouse for free Sunprint art. Have fun in the sun creating original prints using plants, feathers and other natural items.

SunPrint Workshop
Saturday, June 18th, 10:00-11:00a
$35 per child ($40 at the door), ages 5-9y

The perfect "first photography class". Join us to make original 'cyanotype' images from light using special photography paper. Design your image using leaves, flowers, feathers and other natural items. Draw an image on transparent paper and make "photographic" copies of it. We will experiment by making images using 2D and 3D objects, transparent, semi-transparent and opaque objects. This workshop offers a great introduction to the principles of photography and is a crowd-pleaser for kids and parents.

Soap-making Workshop
Saturday, June 11th, 10:30-12:00p, 5-9y
$35 per child

Do you want to create your own beautiful soaps? Join soap-making workshop! Create your own vegetable glycerin soaps and choose from an assortment of fun molds to handcraft unique designs using a selection of natural, high-quality, child-safe pigments and fragrances. Each child will create three soaps and once the soap has set, package it with charming decorations, going home with a soaps to use yourself, or beautiful gifts to give to someone special! Soap-making does require some cooling time. Class participants will be allowed to play in the main play area while they wait for their soaps to cool down. Soap-making activities are expected to take the first hour and we anticipate approximately 30 minutes of cool down play!
